ACCOUNTANTS plan and provide accounting systems and services for the financial dealings of enterprises and individuals, and advise on record-keeping and compliance.

There are a number of roles that accountants may undertake including financial accounting, budgeting, planning, auditing, cost and tax accounting. There is scope to work for government, small business or large corporations all over the world.

How much an accountant earn will depend on experience. Diplomas of 1-2 years can be undertaken for entry level accounting positions whereas a 4 year degree will broaden the scope for higher level positions.
