Jobs: Aircraft Electrician

Aircraft Electrician includes jobs involved in the troubleshooting, installation, testing, modification, and repair of electrical systems and equipment on aircraft. Includes installation of electrical systems, diagnosis and elimination of trouble in the systems, and modification of systems by replacement of individual components or installation of new systems. The work requires knowledge and skill in locating and tying in the electrical systems with the aircraft armament, electronics, and instrument systems; adjusting and calibrating the components of the various electrical systems so that operation is within established limits; and reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics so as to follow a system through to diagnose malfunctions and check continuity, resistance, voltages, and amperage.
