Jobs: Outdoor Recreation Planning

Outdoor Recreation Planning Series includes positions whose primary concerns are planning, advising on, and coordinating the use of land, water and related resources to provide opportunities for the creative use of leisure time outdoors, with due regard to protecting and enhancing the quality of the outdoor environment for the enjoyment of people. The work requires application of knowledge of (a) pertinent aspects of economics, sociology, and other social sciences in the assessment of demand for outdoor recreation, (b) the practices of natural resource conservation involved in the development and coordination of programs to provide recreation resources, and (c) the techniques of area planning.
