Flight Attendants

Provide personal services to ensure the safety and comfort of airline passengers during flight. Greet passengers, verify tickets, explain use of safety equipment, and serve food or beverages.

Job Task

• Greets passengers, verifies tickets, records destinations, and directs passengers to assigned seats.
• Explains use of safety equipment to passengers.
• Serves prepared meals and beverages.
• Walks aisle of plane to verify that passengers have complied with Federal regulations prior to take off.
• Collects money for meals and beverages.
• Prepares reports showing place of departure and destination, passenger ticket numbers, meal and beverages inventories, and lost and found articles.
• Administers first aid to passengers in distress, when needed.
• Assists passengers to store carry-on luggage in overhead, garment, or under-seat storage.
